If you don't know the melody of a particular song, there's a good chance you can find it at YouTube.

I've just created a new page,
Books, Books, Books,
that has a few resources for the 'ukulele, Hawaiian music and instruments,
instructional material, plus some songbooks. If you enjoy history, you
should enjoy many of these resources.
April 29
Senior Center Uke Group Song List for Wednesday, May 4. This is a webpage with the song list for May 4th at the Senior Center, with YouTube links and a link to a mini-songbook with the song texts, plus the four songs we'll sing at the Alabama Uke Fest, May 13-14.
April 14
In-person rehearsals will restart for the Senior Center ukulele players on Wednesday, April 20, 1:00-2:30 at the Senior Center. Because of the continuing concerns with coronaviruses, we will meet outside in the Gazebo (at the west end of the property). Please read the full details here: Restart of Ukulele Groups.
Because screen display of song sheets is impossible in an outdoor location, we will be working from our songbooks.
Here is a proposed song list for April 20: Song List for April 20, and here's a "mini-songbook" of those songs: Senior Center Song List_2202-04-20.pdf.
Display of songbooks on a personal tablet may be possible depending on the sky conditions. I was not able to connect to the Senior Center WIFI at the Gazebo earlier this week but it is available inside the Senior Center ("Senior Center Guest 2.5 G").
Finally we will join with members of the UkeQuestors to perform at the Alabama Ukefest 2022, Lake Guntersville (May 13-14).
Doug and Theresa will lead the joint group. We will be playing four songs. Here's the Songbook and songs:

For our vocal warmups:
July 9, 2021
Our "homework" for the July 21 session at the Huntsville Senior Center will be a playlist originally intended for the 3rd Annual Rocket City Ukulele Festival, which was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. All the songs and links to YouTube are at: Alabama Ukefest 21 Playlist.
Song sheets will continue to be displayed on the wall, but bring your TVUC Songbook, Version 2.2.5 and your Hawai'ian Songs, Version 2.1.6. binders and, if you have one, a music stand.
The entrance to the Senior Center will continue to be the doors next to the Twickenham Ballroom, the doors facing Drake Ave., left of the main entrance. If you haven't come into the Senior Center since it's reopening, bring your COVID vaccination card.
July 6, 2021
A reminder that the TVUC will meet at the Huntsville Senior Center tomorrow, Wednesday, July 7, from 1 to 2:30 in the Cafeteria. I went by the Center this morning. Entry is through the doors facing Drake Ave., left of the main entrance. You will need your key card and need to show your COVID vaccination card, but you'll need to show the COVID card only once; after that, just use your key card for entry.
The plan is to display the song sheets on the wall; the leader or co-leader will need to bring a laptop. Because electronics can be troublesome, from time to time, please bring your TVUC Songbook, Version 2.2.5 and your Hawai'ian Songs, Version 2.1.6. as a backup. We will no longer be distributing paper song sheets; new song sheets will be posted at the musicandmore.info web site. I hope to see everyone tomorrow
Hawai'ian Songs, Version 2.1.6 17 new songs added to Songbook Hawai'ian Songs, Version 2.1.6. (PDF) Hawai'ian Songs - Version 2.1.6. (Web Page) This songbook is in Portrait mode.
