April 18

I've just received word that if I'm to see my brother-in-law again in this life, I must do so today. Accordingly and with great regret, today's Zoom Jam session is cancelled.

There are four additional songs, two of which are provisional as additional edits may be needed.

Here are the updated Songbooks as of this morning. Please note that I've changed the Table of Contents so that all of the songs are listed alphabetically, rather than by page number. The Contents for the Annex is found on page 139 of the Display Edition. and page 140 of the Print Edition.

Because of the changes to the Tables of Contents, they have expanded to three pages. You may wish to print just a copy of the Table of Contents for your reference during the next Jam:

Just the Annex:

April 16

This was done earlier but needs to be here: Sweet Violets.

It got the 1963 Grammy for Best Comedy Song of the Year: Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (C & G)

April 6

Finally back on line after several days of no Internet or landline phones. The updates I had planned to published on April 3 and 4 could not be published due to this lack of connectivity. Hopefully my plan to provide some of the updates to Keith and Theresa via my cell phone worked.

But, as I couldn't play with the group on Sunday, I filled my time with other pursuits, including transposing several songs and doing some work on the Zoom Jam Themes page.

Here are the new and updated songs since April 3:

All of these songs are in the Annex to the Songbooks.

All these songs have been appended to the bottom of the Songbooks. And here are the updated Songbooks.

There is only one more song in my queue; I've looked at five or six different arrangements, and no two agree, so I'll be buying some sheet music to settle the quandary.

April 3, 2021

Additional songs have been nominated for this theme:

And I discovered errors on two pages of this song (Keys of C and G):

These songs have been added to an Annex to the main Songbook:

[My internet connection failed before I could post any of this page.]

Theresa wanted two songs today that don't fit the theme but fit the day. They are posted on the main Zoom Jam web page, Zoom Jam.

April 2, 2021

Jen has re-worked the solo on "I've Got A Tiger By The Tail." It's been included in the Songbooks which I recompiled this morning:

If you've already printed a copy of this songbook, it is only necessary to reprint the Cover (and Contents if you're printing double-sided copies), and pages 46-47 (or 45-48 if double-sided).

Jen has also nominated a couple of other songs. These songs, and any others that are nominated today or tomorrow, will be published as a separate Annex to the Songbook (I've got my eye on an arrangement of "Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh" by Allan Sherman, which won the Grammy for best comedy song of 1963).

April 1, 2021

Two songs requested by Deb:

And Theresa has given us a second version of a song we've sung before:

Finally, I added the key of F for Pencil Thin Mustache (C, F & G).

All songs have YouTube links.

No additional changes or additions are anticipated at this point, so the Songbooks for this Sunday are posted, together with a compressed file of all the songs (PDF format).

If you see any errors, please let me know so that I can get the correction posted right away.
